Agenda Caribbean, Happy Childhood Foundation, Committee for Solidarity with Political Prisoners, reported to the national and international public opinion and to the national and international Human Rights the events in the municipality of San Onofre Sucre against ROCHA Verbel family who have been victims of systematic killings, forced displacement, threats, damage to property of others, made widely reported no entity competent authorities so far been investigated these facts are so forceful and effective which allowed the systematic violation of human rights against the family, denying the adoption of measures for their protection. FACTS
ROCHA Verbel Family is part of the crime victims movement Chapter Sucre State since 2006. On February 4, 2005 was murdered one of their members Mr. GUILLERMO ROCHA Verbel who was part of citizen oversight of the municipality of San Onofre (Sucre) , this crime was attributed to the paramilitary structures that control the territory and who operate with the connivance of local authorities.
From these facts and the constant harassment this family was granted precautionary measures ADOLFO Verbel ROCHA which have not been sufficient or effective to prevent further family violence to Verbel Rocha.
On March 23, 2011 ROCHA Verbel family is hit again this time with the murder of Mr. Eder Verbel ROCHA, who after his usual day's work in the estate of his property called PUERTO COLOMBIA, located in Higuerón township of the municipality of San Onofre, about 6:00 pm on his way to his residence with his son and brother ORLANDO ENRRIQUE Verbel ROCHA, motorcycles were driving about 200 meters from the farm were found to two armed men opened fire without saying a word against the three family members, seriously wounding Verbel EDER ROCHA, who was kicked and beaten with the butts of guns, the brother of Mr. ORLANDO Verbel EDER ROCHA evading site manages to escape indiscriminate shooting carried out by the offender, one of these shots as roso on the forehead, in the pursuit of ORLANDO, the child stays with his father gives him mouth to mouth and gives him a kiss on the forehead, Pope tells him to flee the boy picks up the phone and hides in the woods where the humiliations seen kicking the butts and handed it to his father's killers , and calls his family by raising awareness the facts, ORLANDO took refuge in a farm called TUMALI which was informed to Marines who were near the scene, who informed them about what happened, infants accompanied Mr. ORLANDO up where his brother lay, arriving half an hour half an hour later a police patrol.
