Canaria Network for Human Rights in Colombia joins the manifesto issued by the State Coordinator of human rights organizations and Solidarity with Colombia.
At the detention of Leyla Ordoñez, social and political groups undersigned, declare: 1 .-
Leyla has a recognized political refugee status by the UN and by the English Government, being pursued by the Colombian government because of his political activity in defense of human rights (HR).
2 .- It is the practice of the Colombian state to pursue both inside and outside the country to all those who deplore the systematic violation of human rights in Colombia: persecution and murder of trade unionists, massive displacement of rural populations, professional murder and election candidates, disappearances, etc., boasting the country's record trade unionists killed worldwide.
3 .- The detention of Leyla responds to the Colombian government attempt to silence outside denounce the true character of the Colombian state.
4 .- We hold the government and the English courts for the fate of Leyla should be extradited to Colombia because his life would be endangered. 5 .-
