STILL SURROUNDED BY DEATH
In recent weeks, the government and its security forces have paid the slightest attention to our cries for persecuión to cease and barbarism against our Peace Community, attacks and harassment have continued, supported by other armed groups, against the members of our community and against the civilian population that surrounds us and come to us for us to help you visible tragedy.
We want to express again to the country and the world in recent crimes that have affected us:
At week 11 to April 15, 2011 is repeated telephone calls from the FARC deseror alias "Zamir", illegally residing in the XVII Brigade since November 2008, and the paramilitary ROBINSON Gomez, also protected in the same brigade for a few days ago, at least eight villagers in the hamlet of San José, in which they were warned to cooperate with the Army as informants, if not judicialized or wanted to be executed. Two of these people were warned that they had no salvation, as they were already sentenced to death. While such threats, the use of procedures and practices paramilitary terror, have been constant for many years in the same brigade. this confirms the continuity of practices state terrorism in a time when the same head of state broadcasting fake versions in other countries about the validity of the rule of law, and even worse, when one of the actors in these practices terror, has the distinction of "Agent of Peace" that former President Uribe granted.
The Wednesday April 13, 2011 , at 10:00 pm when one of the leaders of the Peace Community, was Frasquillo port on the Urra dam with Isumo agricultural crops for the Community, members of the army prevented him from passing, requiring a special permit and requiring him UMATA a series of personal data, whose demand is prohibited by the Constitutional Court because it is a form of illegal registration. When contacted by phone the Regional Ombudsman of Uraba, the military adopted the data demanded that the Constitutional Court prohibits require.
The Friday April 15, 2011 , to 18 hours, three armed men arrived at the house of ALCIDES SUCERQUIA TUBERQUIA , 39, located in the hamlet of San José a few meters of the police station, and as he spoke by phone shot in the head killing him immediately . Some neighbors believe that the perpetrators were members of the FARC, but still no clarity about the crime. The Community, at the request of his family, picked up the body and asked the wake and burial in San Josesito settlement. Members of the Police present at the village of San José at the time, were indifferent and refused to provide any help gather the body or facilitate legal proceedings. A funeral, at the request of the Ombudsman, the body moved apart for irregular rise and charged a large sum of money to the Community to deliver then the body. Alcides left four young children six and four years older, and eight-month twins.
The Monday April 18, 2011 , at 14:00, the army clashed with a group of guerilla , leaving in the middle of crossfire six members of our community Peace settlement of Mulatos, who at the time worked in one of the plots of the Community. They managed to run and get out alive from the crossfire. After the confrontation, the military arbitrarily detained four peasants living in the vicinity of the Community and were deprived of their liberty for three hours, they said they were guerrillas and said that the Peace Community has coca crops. When the prisoners responded that they knew it was false, as the Community expelled those involved in the cultivation of coca, the military insisted that the Peace Community of coca is grown and guerrillas are also forbidden to talk about what happened to Community members, because if that happened, it would have to repent.
Given this new circle of death that we tend our community reiterates its decision to keep its draft Life, Justice, Peace and Solidarity and threats do not shrink from seeking urged them to leave our way.
again invoke the solidarity of those who know us and know that we work for a different world, an alternative to the world of injustice and violence that we want to impose without any alternative resquiscios.
