Nobody remembers in Ituango (Antioquia) mobilization as crowded as the one that occurred Monday March 14, 2011, Day International Action against Dams, for Water, Rivers and the Life. Between 4,000 and 5,000 people from the towns of Ituango, San Andrés de Cuerquia, Briceño and Toledo met in the first one with the aim of expressing disagreements in different sectors of society to the social, environmental and economic in the early Hidroituango hydroelectric project.

Briceño Community paralyzes the construction of a pathways in Hidroituango (Periphery)
On Tuesday 15 March, about 300 people from the villages: Orejón, Buenavista, La Calera and Chiri, Briceño Township, from 4:00 am began to move into the La Caparrosa, to protest the many abuses of Hidroituango and eminence to affect drinking water mining community.
